Xyntek is seeking entrepreneurial, dedicated and motivated employees that are interested in joining a fast-paced Technical Sales Team.  The Application Sales Engineer will report directly to the Xyntek, Sr. Vice President and be involved in all aspects of the Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Engineering Operations required for Xyntek market growth and positioning.  Focus will be across Xyntek’s four main business areas, including:

  • IT and Real-time Systems Automation solutions and services throughout the Life Sciences Drug Development and Manufacturing business processes
  • Machine Vision & Robotics Automation & Integration
  • Big Data - Analytics
  • Serialization Solutions for Pharmaceutical Supply Chain
  • Biometrics Solutions for User Registration and Authentication

Responsibilities:    

The ideal candidates will be involved in all aspects of Application Sales and Business Development, including:

  • Assist sales team with cold calling, prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Screening potential business deals/opportunities with final end user customers & analyzing market strategies, deal/opportunity requirements, prospect and market potential, and financials.
  • Working directly with clients to understand their application and their needs
  • Work as an intermediary between the customer and the Xyntek Engineering Team, and be involved with understanding the customers application and needs, working with Xyntek Engineering and third party suppliers to define solutions, proposal generation and solution presentation to the customer. 
  • Locating or proposing potential business solutions by contacting end user customers and potential technology partners; & discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Working with Xyntek Engineering and third party suppliers to establish Standardized Solutions for Custom Applications
  • Writing sales proposals and detailed Bill of Materials for all hardware, software, services, and documentation components
  • After an order is secured, the Application Sales Engineer will transition the project to the Xyntek Engineering Team and support initial project meetings including Project Kickoffs
  • Managing contact and leads databases
  • Protecting organization's value by keeping all business strategies and technical information confidential integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Developing negotiation strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture within company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials with both the end user and the potential technology partners' needs and goals

 

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in – Business Administration, Computer & Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS and related IT degrees, Technical Marketing
  • Demonstrated academic excellence
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to client sites
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills
  • Strong presentation skills and professional appearance with the ability to interact well with all levels of customer functions up to executive level
  • Excellent Technical Writing, Communication, and Presentation skills
  • Passion to work with aggressive nature to succeed – “go getter” attitude towards sales
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical / biotechnology / Healthcare industries is advantageous, but not required
  • Experience with typical off-the-shelf PC-based software packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM software such as ACT is advantageous, but not required
