Xyntek is seeking entrepreneurial, dedicated, and motivated employees that are interested in joining a fast-paced Engineering & Technical Integration Services Team. The ideal candidates will be involved in all aspects of process control integration projects ranging from defining requirements and design activities to hands on integration activities.

The selected Engineer(s) will provide project support on real-time process control automation projects utilizing best in class technology platforms featuring PLCs, DCS, SCADA, Machine Vision, etc.  The Systems Engineer position will be involved in various project stages including controls architecture design, programming, configuration, integration, onsite installation, and testing.

Project activities will include:

  • All aspects of control system design, configuration, integration, and commissioning, including defining the project scope; determining the appropriate system architecture; preparing submittal documents for owner approval; creating control panel wiring diagrams and construction documents; commissioning the complete control system
  • Communicating with end clients to define project scope and requirements, and review of process descriptions and P&ID drawings prior to development 

  • Defining software/hardware architecture requirements

  • Interaction with project team and evaluating and recommending technical solution

  • Developing detailed functional and software design specifications

  • Programming and configuring DCS, OPC, PLC, and SCADA software and hardware components

  • Providing system commissioning services and troubleshooting existing control systems

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 2 -5 years of experience designing, implementing, and configuring real-time batch, continuous and discrete process automation solutions utilizing Emerson DeltaV process control platform within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, process control systems, communications / network products, OPC software, HMI/MMI/SCADA, Operator Interfaces, PC-based Control

  • Experience with interfacing control systems to OPC Server applications and communication to other control systems and upper level software applications via OPC. Knowledge of general purpose OPC Server applications.

  • Experience integrating control systems with MES, Data Historians, ERP, and other data systems

  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills

  • Must have Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical
